Can't use original unlock pattern on LG G2

Hi...I have an LG G2 and I used to use the unlock pattern to unlock my phone. I changed it and now want to go back and use my original, but everytime I swipe the pattern I get an "Already existing pattern" error. I lock the phone and need to use the updated pattern, not the one I want. Not sure what's going on. Hope someone knows how to use the original pattern again.

Welcome to Android Central! Try changing the screen unlock method to something else first, like PIN. Accept it, then go back and change the screen unlock method back to pattern unlock. It will ask you for the PIN you just entered as a security measure, and then it will ask you to select a new unlock pattern.
