can I hide apps on my phone

ive got android 5.1.1 and want to hide (not lock) dating apps on my phone but cant do It? can anyone tell me how to hide them?

With Nova Launcher you can remove the app icon from the app drawer and the home screen.
Change app icon and hide it in a folder and name it something else.
