Can I Insert Cell Phone Sim to Nexus 7 LTE (2013)?

OK inserted my AT&T SIM from my HTC One and the Nexus instantly went to LTE and resume downloading my apps, so this is some sort of T-Mobile nonsense. I guess I'll have to call them and find out what the deal is.

does your SIM still work in your Nexus 7? I'm thinking of trying out my nano sim (fitted into micro adapter) from ATT into the unlocked T-Mobile nexus 7 after buying.. and just wanted to verify yours is still working.

thanks!

Hey I sent u a PM but not sure if U got it. I tried inserting my AT&T sim card from my galaxy s4 phone into my nexus 7 tablet and the data is not working. I read that it worked for you so I'm not sure what's going on with mine . This is the version that I bought

Any idea?

Mine started working. It took a while, I just used the T-mobile Sim card that came with it. Infact I don't even know how I am going to be charge for it, but I think it came with a 2 months free data plan which is why it is working.

Hey Joe, that doesn't count. We were talking about a T-mobile VOICE Sim card for your cell phone. Data sims that come with the Nexus or data sims at Tmobile will always work with the Nexus'.

It worked that day, and then the next day I went over to AT&T and got the tablet it's own SIM 'cause I figured out if I bumped my shared data plan up to 6GB/month, my smartphones dropped from $40 each to $35 each, which then offset the extra $10/month to add the Nexus 7. I wanted more data anyway since I'd gone over the limit by a gig a couple of times using the Slingbox, and I'll probably use that more with the Nexus 7. Thinking about adding the wife's iPad to this as well, since she typically uses less than a Gig a month but we're paying $30 a month, could probably get a way with adding it for $10 without a big impact to the plan (even if we went over another Gig, that's $15 more and it still woudl be $5 cheaper).

Replied :) Not sure why yours didn't work, I got my AT&T SIM when I brought my HTC One Developer Edition into the store to get a sim for it and add a line to the plan my wife's iPhone is on. Maybe it was provisioned differently since it wasn't an "AT&T" phone?
