Can I install ROM/MOD that are not meant for my phone?

hey guys
i have a samsung galaxy note 2 version SGH-I317M and really want the note 3 features so i am thinking about downloading the tigrarom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2479698 or this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2504016 , but they are both meant for the samung galaxy note 2 N7100. Or want to install this MOD which is also meant for the note 2 N7100: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2467810.
Will this brick my phone or cause any other weird things to happen such as my radios won't work?

No, you have to flash a ROM that was created specifically for your version of the Note 2. Many phones have been bricked while trying to flash ROM designed for different device.
