Can i make an app into a system app without rooting phone

[Android Central Question]

I want to transform an app called focusme into a system app but I don't want to root my phone.

This app allows me to focus on work by blocking distracting apps like youtube, chrome etc... I am an addict for porn and video games so I need this app in order to stop my addiction as it has gotten too far.

The problem is that I can easily bypass the app protection by entering Safe mode...

The only solution is too make Focusme into a system app so that I don't have any reason to enter safe mode anymore...but google says there is no way to do that without rooting phone and I don't want that.

So what is the solution ? I am desperate for help here

I seem to recall getting a similar question once before here, with the general consensus being this isn't possible. If your self control is such that you would simply bypass that sort of app, I think your best option may be to buy a feature phone (aka "dumb" phone) that is only usable for calls and texts.

ok... found it - so this works in safe mode too ?
Also apparently I need another google account to supervise my own account or else I can't setup digital wellbeing ... is that correct ?

It can be used with same account that your phone google account is tied to , safe mode I'm not sure haven't tested it there but you can try .

yeah it works but I have to tell you that is very basic and useless because you can stop it anytime ... the app that I use has a FORCED MODE plan that cannot be stopped for an indefinite amount of time - that controls my addiction perfectly as I cannot just decide that I want to browse the internet for porn again aftr 7 days - the forced mode plan will still be there and the app cannot be unninstaled - I love that ...

The only downside is not working in safe mode as it is a third party app - hence why I want to transform it into a system app to completely solve my problem.

Gotcha , that's the only thing I can come up with from top of my head without root , maybe some other members can chime in so wait a little and see if anyone can come up with better solution.
