Question Can I receive internet with an Android 9 phone (Samsung Note 8)

2 different EE agents have told me the reason I can't get internet/data on my Samsung Note 8 (Android 9) phone is because it is too old.


Are they correct?

It should still be able to get mobile data via 4G LTE. Were the agents thinking in terms of 5G only (the Note8 is too old to work with 5G)?

Even Android 2 can browse the Internet (albeit, with a lot of problems)! Android 9? No problem.

Now, maybe there's some problem which keeps the phone from working with EE's systems. If so, I don't think that problem is the Android version. However, so long as you use wi-fi rather than your culluer network for the Internet, your phone should be able to browse the Internet just fine.
