Can I revert my phone back to old software?

[Android Central Question]

The last two updates on my Samsung S6 have totally screwed up my phone. It will not receive multimedia messages with or without Wi-Fi connection. I do not know what exactly the update is (nougat or marshmallow or whatever) how do I revert the software back?
