Ok, I've had my Charge since July but still a noob when it comes to rooting and getting rid of the bloatware. Now that this phone has Gingerbread I really like how it performs and holds the 4G signal better. I had thought about getting a Nexus, but I'm in a very weak 4G area and can't take a chance with it not getting a signal at my house. So, I'm thinking, why not just get the bloatware off of my Charge?
So, my question is, can I root just so I can delete the bloatware (especailly the stupid 11 MB Let's Golf game) and leave everything else as is. I"m not advanced enough to do any other ROMs or other stuff at this time. And if I root, will I have to reinstall all apps, and all my email accounts such as my Exchange I use for work. I'm looking just to root so I have power to delete the bloat and leave the rest of the phone as is. Can I do this and how do I do this?
