Can I store my home videos on Nvidia shield using the 500gb version and play them?

I have some home videos and a few games I recorded. I want to, simply, just store them in my 500gb shield to be able to play anytime. I’m hoping this is an easy process w/o downloading a lot of other things. Thanks
