One thing that has always stopped me from trying these Betas is the requirement to wipe your device when you want to go back to the stable release channel. Is that still the case? If not, how would one install the final version when it's out without wiping the device?

If you mean can you go from Android 13 beta to the Android 13 stable release later this year without wiping your device, the answer is yes. You will get the stable release and you will not have to wipe your device. However, if you are on Android 13 beta and decide you want to go back to Android 12, that will wipe your device.

Correct, I will not want to go back to 12, just from 13 Beta to the public release of 13. how does one go about doing that when the public release version is out?

When the public version is released your phone will get the same update available notice just like any other update. Just update as usual. No phone wipe involved.

@ras47 & @bkeaver: Read the whole thread. The original poster does not want to revert to 12. He just wants to know if he will have to wipe the phone when the public version of 13 is released and the answer is no.

I did read the whole thread. I was just commenting on what ras47. I know what the OP was asking.
