Can I use computer speakers on my phone (Moto E (2nd gen)

I would like to use my phone for playing music but all the phone speakers I found are too quiet. I like loud music. I suspect this is partly due to requiring a battery for power. I am at a desk so I can use a wall outlet. I've also seen some very expensive speakers. I was hoping I could find some "good enough" computer speakers between $30 and $50 that are pretty loud. But I do not want to experiment with my phone and destroy it. I was hoping someone would have some insight on this.

as long as the speakers come with their own power source, you'll be fine. just follow the same instructions you'd use if you were plugging them into a computer.

Do NOT buy the type that depend on an outside power source for power. Those types typically derive power from the computer USB port or sound card to play audio, and could very well flatline an otherwise perfectly functioning smartphone.

feel free to post a link or two of the models you're interested in. 30-50 is a good price range for what you're looking for.
