Android Central Question

I bought myself a smartwatch (Huawei watch 3) and a large reason for it was to use it without my phone.
Now i learn my current phone (p30 pro) does not have eSIM compatibility.
Can i activate my current SIM on a phone that does have it, like a samsung galaxy s20, and then carry over that activated SIM back to my old phone. I imagine it should still work since its the same number and same SIM?

That the phone does not have eSIM compatibility just means that the phone can't have an eSIM activated on it for the PHONE'S connection. Your watch is a separate connection and should be fine with the eSIM as long as your carrier will let you set up an eSIM on your plan

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not clear on what you're asking. Are you talking about the Huawei Watch 3's eSIM? That wouldn't have anything to do with your phone's SIM, since the idea is that the watch would have a standalone connection (which would be a separate line, since you can't have two separate devices sharing the same line).
