Can it read external hard drive devices via the on-the-go cables

Can the S6 Edge+ read external hard drive devices via the on-the-go-cables? This would be a huge plus!

Yes - IF the drives have external power sources, or if you have a 3 way OTG cable, so you can power the drive. A phone doesn't have enough power to power a drive. (I just plugged a Seagate 1TB drive in a powered USB box into my Note 3 to check - and it read the first partition fine. (It won't even see the other 2 partitions.) The S6 should work just as well.
