This is simply a question I'm asking to placate my father. He uses the Message+ app and wants to know if he can disable the notification sound when he has the text conversation open in front of him. He still wants the notification when he is not in the Message+ app or his phone is locked, but if he has the conversation open, he finds the constant sound of incoming messages annoying. He insists it didn't do this before and only just started.
I pretty much just want to confirm whether or not there is way to do this, because I went digging on my own and didn't find an option to do so.
(And do not suggest an alternate messaging app please; he's a stubborn dad who dislikes this small change as it is, let alone learning a new app.)
