Is there a setting somewhere that I can choose that would allow my S5 (and Note 10.1 2014) to accept BT transfers without me having to intervene and click on "accept"?

opps, I can't edit my topic. Thought I was on the S5 forum. Sorry!

Monica,
If you click 'go advanced' in the edit window, then you can edit the title.

What type of files are you trying to transfer?

Could you be just a bit more specific in your directions please? I don't see and edit window or a "go advance"...Good grief! I thought you were talking about how to allow BT transfers without them asking for permission! <lol> Thanks for the editing info tho :)
I'm transferring photos, videos and music. Discovered that wifi direct is better for videos tho. Much faster. I just hate having to confirm to accept a file transfer each time (requiring that I be in the room with both devices). There should be a way to allow devices that you've previously designated as "safe" to transfer automatically. Would be nice to be in the office on the desktop and decide to send a music file to the tab that's in my bedroom without having to go to the device just to select "accept".

It looks like she is reply #8 in that thread...
Samsung has a lot of silly names for common technology, maybe with a layer of proprietary UI baked on top.

Why not use wifi direct for everything?
Because bluetooth draws less power?

I'm not concerned withe the power. I would use Wifi Direct but again, I'd have to have all devices within arms reach to turn on Wifi Direct OR are you suggesting leaving it on all the time? I don't know what kind of power usage WD might use but that scenario might cause me to become concerned about power drainage. MY BT stays on all the time on both my phone and tablet. I could leave it on full time on my desktop. Again, it just seems like a list of devices could be assigned as "safe" for BT transfers.
