Can someone confirm that you can sideload by taking out sim?

I have heard this rumor, but don't see it anywhere. I would assume that if this were legit, there would be tons of websites talking about it, since it is a major problem for AT&T.

Just wondering if anyone can confirm that this works.

It works. Remove sim and download app via wifi. Or just get the latest version of HTC sync and do it through the SDK.
