My Nexus 7 runs Jelly Bean 4.2.2. I installed Firefox, as I have it on my PC, but removed it from my Nexus, as I didn't like it. I then installed Opera Mini & love it, but made a weird discovery. If I select Opera Mini's Bookmarks, it lists 'Android Bookmarks' & if I select that, it then lists ALL the bookmarks I currently have in Firefox on my PC !! How on earth did Opera Mini get hold of them?

I didn't import any bookmarks into Opera Mini or Firefox before I removed it from my Nexus 7. This is not only odd but worrying. Has Chrome on my Nexus imported them, from Chrome that I also use on my PC?

Has anyone got any ideas how these bookmarks got imported?

Thanks if you can shed any light on this weird happening.

Really sounds like there had to be an import of your bookmarks.

Not sure how/where because its been ages since I tried Opera.

They must have already been on your device for opera to import them. Both firefox and chrome offer sync between desktop and mobile. However, you really have to go out of your way to set up firefox sync so my money is on chrome having already imported them to your device.

Hi chaps - very many thanks for your helpful & quick replies.

Yes, I'm now sure that Chrome has done the importing. I still don't know how to remove all 2822 bookmarks that Opera Mini displays under 'Android Browser'.

If anyone can advise, I'd be very grateful.

It might be easier to install the Opera browser on your computer, do your bookmark management and then sync bookmarks with your mobile device. I think Opera will do this now.
