Can the battery of a Samsung Galaxt Note 10.1 tablet be replaced?

I can not get the battery to take a charge wondered if the battery can be replaced. Or do I have to forget about it and purchase a new tablet.

Yes, it can be replaced. Take it to a local repair shop

I'm sure batteries still exist somewhere but as a 7 year old device I wouldn't bother.

A 7 year old battery that's been siting on a shelf self-discharging for 7 years (batteries are usually made in 2 batches - before the device is released, then again a few months after it's released - then that's it) is going to be pretty worthless.
