Can the galaxy buds and a smartwatch work at the same time while connected to my s10

I just got the galaxy buds, and my smartwatch was already connected to my s10 when my phone rings i no longer receive notifications on my galaxy smartwatch while I'm listening to my galaxy buds. Do the buds override the smartwatch as for as incoming calls and text

Adding the buds shouldn't change the way the smartwatch gets notifications.

I have both and they work at the same time with no issues.

Mine work the same with the buds and watch connected. Was the phone unlocked? Sometimes I get delays to the watch if the phone is active.
