I use my S3 a lot to take videos then play them on our TV. Is it possible with the Nexus 6? I am thinking about upgrading, and being able to play youtube and recorded videos on the big screen would make my decision a lot easier.

I do have a mhl adapter I used with my last Samsung Nexus, but to be honest I've never tried it with my Nexus 6. I bought the Canadian version of Google's chromecast that plugs into my Visio 47in HDMI port and viola; I cast/mirror EVERYTHING on my Nexus 6's screen. Not just within apps which may have a cast screen option. So I can browse the Internet, run apps, play games, view photos... Whatever I can see on the screen casts to our HD TV! You do need a fast WiFi and overall the quality is pretty darn decent especially with a good quality source. And the best part, auto rotating the screen actually works while casting too.. No more wires and you can even set a 4digit pass code that will allow Any ones phone to cast on your TV, without you having to divulge your routers main password... Nice! Only $35 too from Amazon.

I use it mostly at Church with a couple of generic flat screens and an HDMI input projector, so the Chromecast idea wouldn't be practical. But thanks for the idea!
