Can the Samsung E-mail app search server e-mails?

I organise my @hotmail.com e-mail account e-mails into around 30 folders, nested within the Inbox.

I've noticed if I search for something in Samsung's E-mail app that is within a folder that I haven't yet opened (therefore downloaded), I get no results.

Stupidly, Samsung's E-mail app only appears to search downloaded headers/e-mails.

I have 'Period to sync Email' set to 'All time' but again, it doesn't download them unless I open each folder. And if I add an e-mail to a folder on my PC, it will only download that on my phone if I go back into the folder.

Is it possible to make it search the server by default?

true. the email app can only see the emails that have been downloaded. you need to set all folders to sync automatically. check the settings of the email app

I don't believe that option exists in Samsung's E-mail app :/
