Can the T-mobile HTC One use Verizon signal?

So I currently own a HTC One purchased from T-mobile which I can't use where I'm currently staying. No T-mobile towers in Beulah, ND... So I figured I could purchased a T-mobile compatible Straight Talk sim card so I could get service. It hasn't worked out how I planned though, I guess the only Signal Straight Talk has in my area is from Verizon towers... I looked up which bands my phone could possibly use and I believe it could pick up some kind of Verizon bands... but I would imagine I would have to "unlock" it or "root" it. So my question is, how can I, if I even can, use the local Verizon "towers" using my T-mobile HTC One using a straight talk sim. Anyone have a clue if such thing is possible? Thanks!

Although Verizon, Sprint and Alltel use the cdma technology, recent Verizon 4G LTE phones now allow for the use of SIM cards in them (just like GSM phones). If you unlock (not root) your T-Mobile HTC ONE, you should be able to use a Verizon sim card in it. I believe both Verizon and T-Mobile use the AWS band. This does not necessarily mean you'll get the exact same LTE speeds as a Verizon hardware.
