I found a very low priced s6 edge that I want to buy but here's the issue at described by the seller...

S6 edge won't turn on flashes boot screen and when plugged in flashes battery pic AT&T phone

What do you guys think? Is it worth risking $200??

$200? I wouldn't.

It might be fixable with a ROM reflash, but that's an awful lot of money to risk on a maybe.

Don't do it! My S6 Edge went into a boot loop a week or so ago, right as I was leaving on a trip. I tried all the common "fixes" at the T-Mobile shop, and they directed me to the Samsung shop at BestBuy. I wound up having the phone reflashed (twice), and when that didn't work they told me it must be a hardware problem, and that I'd need to call Samsung and schedule a repair. I called Samsung today, and they told me that as the phone is (just) outside the 1 yr warranty period, they will not repair it. "At this time", the guy said, "we're not accepting repairs for out of warranty phones". And so now I'm the owner of an $800 shiny black brick that's 15 months old. After my last crappy Samsung a couple years ago I swore "never again". Now I mean it.

Forget it with an AT&T phone, there's no FW available to flash the device. You can't flash non-branded FW due to the locked bootloader. The device may be good for spares, but that's all
