Can Verizon Message+ & Hangouts Be Sideloaded?

I did a factory reset of my watch yesterday to learn that Verizon Message+ (the best SMS app in my opinion) and Hangouts are gone.

I still get a vibration alert when I get an SMS (probably via Feel The Wear) and Hangouts messages show as notifications, but the apps are gone.

Can I sideload them somehow?

So, I am trying to get Verizon Messages onto my watch.

It's no longer in the Play Store on my watch.

I found a way to sideload it.

I was able to connect my computer to my watch via ADB.

When it came time to transfer the file to my watch, the commands entered didn't result in anything. Nothing happened.

Obviously, something is wrong - but, what?

Help!
