My $900 AT&T Galaxy S9+, now almost June, still has the original Feb. Security. Android is at 8.0 but a newer one is out. How do we get these companies to perform? Can we sue them? Maybe a class action would get their attention. Don't tell me that updates aren't necessary.

Google says Android Enterprise Recommended devices must meet minimum hardware requirements for Android 7.0 and later, support bulk deployment of devices, deliver security updates within 90 days of release from Google for up to three years, and offer unlocked devices.

Sweden tried..... And failed to sue Samsung for security updates trying to get them to give at least 4 years worth. Samsung don't care really

Your best bet is to quit paying a company 900 dollars for an overpriced phone that they refuse to support with the required security updates. When enough people stop buying Samsung's overpriced phones because they're not supporting them, I guarantee you they'll start supporting them better.

I picked up a brand new Pixel for half price and will be buying Pixels from now on because they actually SUPPORT their phones. Speak with your money and companies will listen ;-)

Problem with that Google are not even going to be supporting that phone much longer my 6p was still running perfect no problems could easily run android p and still will on a custom rom but Google ain't updating it. This will be the last new version of Android you will receive. I think the whole 3 year support thing is a joke in general especially as phone contacts are going up and up now in length

They are $360 each if you get 2 at t-mobile. Seems pretty cheap. New line for 1 of them is required.

Sue? Are you kidding? Just how deep are your pockets in order to support a lawsuit?
Sue, sue, sue. The battle cry of the age.
