Can you change the Verizon Message+ sound?

I'm syncing my phone and messages with my tablet and can't find a way to change the ringtone for the message+ phone option on my tablet! Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have this problem as well, on my S7 phone. It uses the default notification sound, and I can't find a settings option to change it for just that app. I want my text messages to be a specific notification sound, separate from the default, but I don't see a way to do it.

Edit: I figured it out. It's not in the main settings and notification menu. The left side has that stuff -- but to the right, the three dots menu, has an option called "customize," which is where you can change the tone for the app. Do be careful that you're in the main messages menu, since the menu and icon are the same as changing it for an individual conversation.

I knew about the text sound; my issue is with the paired phone sounds! Are you using the phone? If so; can you get a different sound for the phone vs text? Thanks!
