Can you help me remove the clock from my status/notification bar of my Moto Z3?

I have a Moto Z3 with Android system version 9. I want turn off or remove the clock from the status/notification bar, but I want to keep the clock widget. I basically don't want the clock displayed twice and prefer the widget. I have tried activating the System UI tuner, but no matter how long I hold down on the settings icon it never starts spinning. Can someone please help me remove the clock from the status bar?

Welcome to the forums. After Pie activating the System UI Tuner is not that easy. It can still be done using a custom launcher, like Nova, or any other app that creates shortcuts for system activities. It still can be used to hide some the system icons on the right side of the status bar but it doesn't work with the time, now on the left side. Sorry, that's the way it is now.
