Can you keep multiple backups from multiple ROMs?

Is it possible to just keep multiple backups of ROMs with all your data and apps and such and just restore with no problems?

In CWM? Yes, each backup you make is assigned a time/date stamp. Its more of a mental note you have to make as to what time/date stamp is what... I usually only keep 2 at a time to save on confusion.

Restoring most of the time works without issues, occasionally you may run into a problem but not too often. I usually wipe 3x and then restore my backup.

You know I have never tried that but I really don't see why not.. Or you can use Astro or ES File Explorer to rename them right on the sdcard.

you can probably rename... only issues I run into with CWM backups sometimes is MD5 Sum errors, which suck... CWM is definitely the easiest way to back up everything, including system settings, though for reliability, I now use the combo of Titanium/MyBackup Pro...

You can rename them. Don't put any spaces in the name or cwm won't recognize the file. Figured that one out after a few backups wouldn't restore. I have a couple now. Makes it way easier to keep track of what's what.

I rename them with es. But any other file program should work too. I haven't Hooked up to a computer for anything rom related in a realy long time

Yeah most of the time now, I just download roms straight from my phone, go to cwm, wipe, and flash the rom without using a computer. In case I mess up though, I got my backups
