Can you keep the four button buttons lit?

This could be a very stupid question. You know the four red buttons at the bottom (home, escape, search, etc)? I notice that they only light up sometimes. Can you make it so they always light up?

I am guessing it may have something to do with ambient light in the room?

It has to do with ambient light, if you want them on always, put a piece of black tape over the sensor which is over the big "V" on the top of the phone.

Tape? Can't do it... the beauty!! But now I know I can put my finger there if necessary.
