It's not a question of the tablets, it's the OS. Android no longer supports moving applications to the SD card. Samsung forces it on their version of the OS, but it is still up to the app developers to support it as well.
Just so you know...I am also a long time gamer and I have found it absolutely necessary to save all of my huge game data folders onto my SDcard just to have room to run every thing. The only way to do it is to root your device (research "rooting" your device if you don't know what rooting is). Then you can run apps like "Directory Bind" or my favorite... "Folder Mount" (found in the Playstore) which will create a matching directory structure on your SDcard that matches the internal one. Then you can save/store all the large data folders onto your external card instead of your (smaller) internal storage. Grab a 64GB micro SDcard and you're all set.
