Can you unroot and use your warranty?

First... I did read the FAQ and none of the "pop-up" messages that came up when I entered my subject really applied (cool feature)...

Has anyone on Verizon unrooted their phone and been able to use their warranty?

I am asking because I currently have the total coverage plan. I rooted last week and now I wonder if it's pointless because they won't honor my warranty anymore.

Anyone with experience?
