can you use the same charger for a galaxy s7 and s4?

I have a galaxy s4 and looking to buy a galaxy s7 and would like to use the same charger.

Yup, you can use the same charger. If you use the newer S7 charger then The S4 will only take the required amount of current, so there should be no worries. Vice versa if you use older S4 charger with S7 then you will just have slower charging, no worries other than that.
