Canadian Retailers?

Okay, so my friend and I were talking about how much we loved and wanted the Essential Phone at Church today; and apparently the Essential Phone can only be purchased via Telus? I had known about that carrier exclusivity; but I had assumed that Essential's website would ship the phone to Canada? I am very confused and also very sad if this is a for sure situation.

Does anyone know if Essential is indeed shipping phones to Canada; or if Canadian retailers are carrying them? I'm assuming Amazon could be a possibility. Just curious if any Canadians out there indeed have the Essential Phone who can shed some light on the situation for me. Thanks!

Essential is currently only selling direct here in the US. I'm not sure if any retail resellers carry it since Telus is supposed to be the exclusive. Carrier exclusives are a pain.

If Amazon will ship to you and the price isn't outrageous then that might be your best bet.

Thank you! Man, that's disappointing. I don't see myself switching to Telus... Perhaps Amazon will be alright if the price is right haha.

I'd offer to buy one and ship it to you but that carries its own list of challenges. If something happens to be wrong with it and needs warranty, I'm not sure how Essential would handle it.

Thank you, that's so nice of you! Who knows, maybe when I'm ready to upgrade, Essential will be easier to grab...
