Cancel software update download Samsung A06?

When the update became available on my phone, I accidentally tapped "Download" by mistake, I switched off my WiFi connection and now I keep getting reminders to download it. Help

Unfortunately there's no way to cancel an update once it's initiated other than factory-resetting the device.

It's not downloaded. Its at 0% download progress. In my dropdown notifications, it says " Download paused - One UI 7 is available. "
It's not at the "Install" stage.

I have read reviews from people with the same phone as myself, who have said the update caused the phone to randomly restart itself. Its something I do not wish to happen.

Can't do much at this point other than keep postponing the update. Downloading it already initiated the process. It will just keep reminding you to apply the update until you do. You can try factory resetting the device, but it's possible the update will be applied automatically when you do.
