Cancelling OnePlus 5 order

Cold feet I guess? Did the same thing with the Pixel. Oh, and also got a $50 off code for the HTC phone. Honestly, torn between those two and/or waiting for the Pixel 2 but would really like to update my Nexus 6P.
It doesn't help that my order was 'scheduled' to ship yesterday and didn't. Such first world problems I have these days

Oneplus is a joke. I have been trying to cancel the order minutes after ordering it on launch day with no success. Can’t even call because they are swamped. Emails take 24 hours for them to respond. So my order hasn’t yet to be cancelled and even though it wasn’t cancelled, it was supposed to ship yesterday and didn’t and doesn’t look like it will arrive by the promised delivery date. On top of that their return process is horrible as you have to request a ticket which takes 24 hours to get an rma and even though it’s being returned sealed, it’s gotta go through an inspection process they call it before you get a refund which takes another 5-7 days. It’s ridiculous.

I ordered op5 as well but looking at the overall reviews, HTC u11 seems to be better than op5. I hope return process isn't too bad.Cold feet I guess? Did the same thing with the Pixel. I tried multiple times and it wont let me either despite letting me hit cancel. One plus is of no help either. I figure it will just now show up and I will ship it back.

Amen to this. I'm having the same issue. I just gave up careing. Epic fail on their customer service.

The orders go straight to processing so you can't cancel them. I really think they hope you just deal with it and end up keeping the phone

Well guess what? Im not going to deal with it and just keep it. If i cant sell it for a profit, im going to purposely open the packaging and accessories remove the plastic wrapping, gunk up the screen with fingerprints and then package it up and send it back so they take a loss on it. Their customer service is atrocious.

I just got label generated now. Not supposed to be delivered till Tuesday, the 27th. It says weekday delivery only, stupid. I'm returning this thing, or selling online. I placed my order at 12:59pm. Basically, immediately after the page went live on the early drop, and now it's not going to arrive until the 27th what a joke.

oneplus sent me an email saying their sorry for messing up the orders/shippings. Gave me 5$ store credit... i don't want that, maybe they should have just applied the 5$ to the shipping so they could have added Saturday deliveries.

Guess what? If Im well off enough where I can buy something on impulse to make sure i have it thats my prerogative. I also should have the option to cancel at anytime before the item is shipped, and thats where Oneplus is dropping the ball.

Yeah agree. It's completely Ok to expect there be proper cancellation procedure if the thing is not ready to ship. It's crazy to think that you order something (mistake, impulse or whatever reason) and there is no easy way to cancel especially if it's not shipping immediately.

ordered mine on 6/20 at 1259pm, its not due to arrive till the 27th, a week later, haha. I could have canceled my order, went on swappa, purchased from someone who picked it up at he NY Popup Store, and had the phone by the 22nd or 23rd.
