Cang change my lock to swipe instead of a pin

I can't change my lock screen to a swipe instead of pin. I've already cleared my credentials, all my device adminstrators are off, even my smart Lock. Not sure what else to do.. can someone please help. I have an Alcatel idol 4

Go to Lockscreen in Settings. You'll have to enter your PIN. Then choose Swipe.

(If you can't unlock the phone, there's nothing you can do - it's a paper weight.)
