Cannot add widgets on Razr Maxx

When I hold my finger down on an empty space on my home screen, the only option I get is to choose a wallpaper. A while back, this used to also bring up the option to add a widget. I'm not sure what changed. I'd like to add my calendar as a widget (display agenda). Anyone have any ideas?

That used to be the way to do it. Now just tap the main apps icon on your home screen and at the top you will see widgets at the top of the screen. Then select your calendar, hold and move it to desired location

I am unable to scroll through all my widgets now, I get through 3 or 4 pages and it jumps back to my home screen. So annoying b/c I want to get my weatherbug widget (I like it the best). Ugh!
