Cannot get drivers working with Win7 64bit pro?

Hello all - recently switched from a broken iPhone 4 and like the S3 except I cannot get drivers working so I can drag flacs/mkvs to my phone. Ive tried

1) drivers from Samsungs site
2) drivers from Windows update
3) installing Kies

Nothing works, i keep getting errors and devices not found (especially the MTP device driver not being found)

Ive tried uninstalling/rebooting/etc, with no luck, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried to remove all of the software you mentioned installing, like the driver packet from Samsung as well as kies, restart the computer and plug the phone in to see if it finds the driver itself on windows update.

Try a different USB port as well.

Also, do you have a firewall setup on the computer, as you may have to alter permissions to allow the device through.
