Cannot log into Facebook native app

I read all the other related threads and my problem seems to be different.

Ever since I got the phone, completely stock, i could not log into the native facebook app. Error: "Login Failed, Try later"

Before I flashed to eb01 super clean, I just installed the facebook app from the market and that allowed me to login.

I'll do that again if I have to, but just curious to see if others experienced the same problem with the native app.

That error is usually caused by either one of two things. (1) Incorrect login information. (2) Corruption in the email app.

Number one can be ruled out quite easily - Carefully enter username and password one letter/number at a time.
Number two could be fixed by doing this. Menu - settings - applications - manage applications - all - scroll down to Facebook app - uninstall.

This actually normally is a server error on their end. I get this from time to time. My first suggestion would be to clear the apps cache/data. You can do this by going to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Facebook > Clear Cache/Data.

If this doesn't work, it's probably something going on with them.

There is no facebook app to uninstall under "all". There is "SNSAccount" with a facebook icon, but I cannot do anything with that - uninstall is grayed out.

When I DO install the app from Market, I can login and everything is OK - but I'm inquiring about the NATIVE facebook app that comes with the phone. Could not get it to work since day 1

Woops, my bad audiphile. I've never tried the native app...although my assumption is it should be the same as the one in the Market, so I'm a little baffled as to why one works and one doesn't. It could be ROM related.

I've had an issue where FB was blocking my phone from logging in. I had to go allow/login via my pc before it would allow my phone to login.

This only happened one time and I haven't had an issue since.
