Hi,

I got a new HTC One X and I'm liking it a lot other than the fact that I cannot get it to pair with any of my Bose bluetooth devices.

I have both the SoundLink? Wireless Mobile Speaker and the Bose? Bluetooth? Headset and my Iphone 4 connected to these no problem. They don't show up in the available devices no matter how much I refresh and turn things on and off.

I have all the newest software updates installed and I can get it to connect to my husband's Iphone.

I would be very greatful if someone knows of a way to address/solve this problem.

Thanks a lot.

I had the same problem with my new HTC One M8. I found the troubleshooting guide for the Bose and followed the reset directions for resetting the memory. Also, the HTC One discovered the Bose while I was depressing the Call button and the Volume button on the Bose. It took more than one try, and I was ready to go to Bose and try an upgrade. Be sure to follow the power off/on directions for each device, and the memory reset for the Bose. Good Luck!

I am trying to connect my Bose bluetooth speaker and Bose bluetooth headset to my HTC One M8 and neither of them are discoverable to the phone. Apparently the One uses an older version of Bluetooth than these devices. Pretty upsetting.:'(

Please note that the user manual state:
Note: If you are unable to pair your device, reset the speaker by pressing and holding Mute on the speaker for 10 seconds until the indicators briefly flash. Your Bluetooth device is disconnected and the Soundlink® Mini speaker turns off.
Press Power to turn the Bose® SoundLink® Mini speaker on again and reconnect.
Note: If the speaker turns off after five minutes, it has not discovered your Bluetooth device.

If your HTC One M8 doesn't find your Bose® SoundLink® Mini speaker then switch Off & On the bluetooth on your mobile and you'll be able to discover and pair the two devices.
It worked for me.

Has anyone had any problems getting a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge to even recognize a Bose Soundlink device? I've done the reset on my Bose, turned off the Bluetooth on my Note Edge, powered off the Bose and turned it back on along with toggling the Note bluetooth on and scanning for devices multiple times and nothing is working. My Note won't even recognize the Bose Soundlink (model 404500).

I want to note that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is having the same problem.

Any ideas?

Dylan Crowell, are you sure that's the issue? My Note Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge are brand new phones and neither of them will discover the Bose either for some reason. :-\

The solution posted below worked for me. I had the similar issue with the Bose SoundLink Speaker not pairing with any of my android devices.
As advised by other members here I pressed the call button on the speaker ( the bluetooth button) and the + volume simultaneously. It took a few seconds but worked.

This worked! Making the Bose SoundLink Mini discoverable on my Samsung Galaxy S8, I had to press the Bluetooth button and volume + button simultaneously while my phone was in discover mode... And presto! There it was on my Bluetooth device list. Thank you!
