I got my mobile from my brother (as already discussed).
But now, I am trying to officially register my product with Samsung (As my brother did not)..

I am unable to locate right model number of my phone from hardware + software interface.
Had a Samsung Chat with India *since i am there*, but even they did not had any solutions..

Since product was bought from Hong Kong, they re-directed me to hongkong site.. but i dont know what is right model for my mobile phone..

I will just add a screenshot of the samsung site.. where i get few options..

Weird to find.. i registered my TVs in India.. but those are not visible, though same email provided.

They are making customers confused !!!
OR
There POLICY !!!

You need to remember that for different regions there might be different product numbers and records. If your product was bought in a different region than yours, that site might not (and probably doesn't) have those part numbers loaded because they're not meant to be registered or sold in your region.

You are absolutely correct.
I tried to contact Samsung India on live chat today (as I am from Mumbai, India).
But since my mobile is not from India, they did not had much information.

I tried to open Samsung Hong Kong site.. but even there my model is not available..

How do i check which model do i own, and where do i register the same ??

I have few Samsung Products bought from India and all are registered under 1 single place..

The model number information should be displayed on the ABOUT PHONE section of your settings or on the sticker under the battery cover (if any).
But again, even if you register your product with the appropriate region, this information would probably not be reflected on your local site (as wouldn't the products you've registered there be reflected on the HK site)

Do you have an ABOUT PHONE or ABOUT DEVICE 'option' in your phone Settings? It's mandatory that it's there, unless it's not an original unit or original software ROM.

Sorry for the late reply. That's your Model Number. Only sites where that model number was supposed to be sold at will have it. Also note that some Samsung sites will take a few weeks after release to update their info, but you should still be able to register the device, it just won't have details until later (Galaxy Tab S took about a month to show up on Samsung's US site, but you could still manually register the SN).

Dial *#1234#
Take the CSC code
Search the code on Sammobile
(you may have to register)

This will give you the market area your version was made for.

Also try downloading Kies on a pc and connecting your phone when it is set up. It may give the version number or say it is not supported in India.
Maybe download Kies to pc from Samsung.com, not the Indian site.

You may have to rely on the benevolence of your local Samsung repairer or India distributors to cover any issues under warranty.

I am sure there must be many imported Samsung devices in India, and Samsung must have laid down a policy by now on how they treat imported models. They should honour the warranty as it would be in Samsung's global interest.

Perhaps there are local forums you can find where the thousands in your situation can share their experiences.
