Cannot seem to get facebook home to work

I know there is a forum for facebook home already but nothing there about the maxx so figured I would try here. I'm rooted on latest jb release and have tried all the ways to delete Facebook to add the new patched versions to run fb home but nothing will work. How can I delete fb? Or alternate ways to get fb home to work? Change the build prop?

I don't use FB Home.... but I don't think you can delete the fb app, however you can go into Settings > Apps > Download tab > select Facebook > Uninstall updates > then disable Facebook. Hopefully this might help getting FB Home to work.

If your rooted, you just remove the app from system/apps I believe.might be system/data/apps.

yes finally got it to uninstall and have the patched fb app installed and new messenger . Home is installed but wont let me enable it under the settings in the app. If I click it 3 times or so it will log out of fb. All the times until that it just flashes a black screen for a few seconds

Do you still have to do the build.prop edit to fool it into thinking you have a supported device?

yea the chat heads is built into the new messenger app thats available in the play store without any mods or jumping through hoops! agreed its nice!

Got it finally! Started over again from scratch and now it works! I think it was the messenger patch. Kinda weird so far
