Hi all,

I promised I researched on the Internet for an answer to this question but I couldn't find one that solves my problem. Before I owned GN, I was using a BB9700... setting up the MS Exchange work email was straight forward. I am very confident that my colleague who uses Samsung Galaxy SIII or any older version Galaxy already set up their work emails on their devices.

Is it because GN is a "pure" android device? It seems no matter what I typed, I can never set it up properly. These are the errors I got:
1. You typed an incorrect server address or the server requires a protocol version that Email doesn't support; or
2. Username or password incorrect (because of previous error, I changed the server name just to see what will happen, basically I changed "webmail.xxx.yyyy.com" to "mobilemail.xxx.yyyy.com") - no way my username or password is incorrect.. I log in every day at work. FYI, when I got my GN I called the IT department of my company, the guy said they only support iPhone and BB.

Could any expert here help me please? I'm frustrated.. :'(

I wish I could help but I had the same issue. Mine seemed to log in at least but it would never pull messages from the server. Just sat there in an infinite state of "pulling". I just use the website, which sucks because it isn't mobile, but it works well enough.

K-9 completely crashed during account set up.

I am not a developer, so new version adding every week is not much use to me.. as I can't understand how to make use of the apk files.

thanks but no thanks...

My GNex synced right to my work email...make certain you have your exchange server address correct...check with your IT admins to make certain. My IT folks gave me the set up and it works fine....you can also use Gmail to set up your work mail as well....

An apk file is no different than a .exe file. Go to your download manager and select it. When you do, it will install the app. You can also download it by clicking the "download complete" notification. Nothing complicated about it.

It should be under your works webmail settings. You just have to forward the server right

Whatever info they give iPhone and BB users they need to give you. It's all the same info. Just walk them through it on the phone and have them give you the answer. IT people can be real snobs sometimes.
