cannot sync verizon bionic with 2010 Ford Escape SYNC, HELP

Help, I don't think my phone will work in my car! I tried everything to sync my new Verizon Droid Bionic with my 2010 Ford Escape sync. Any recommendations would be great. I'll try a few more times then I have to take the phone back to Best Buy. I need my hands free phone for work.
