Cant add a contact to home screen..S6

[AC Question]

I hand 4 family members with a shortcut on my homescreen. I added them thru the contact area...maybe "more" next to edit...and you just clicked add to home screen. I lost one yesterday and now i cant find. it to put them back. now i only have 3 when i use to have 4 short cuts. I read online that a recent update removed this function...

Hi - had just posted same as you and then found it on internet ........... Go to home screen and press and hold blank area. Press 'Widgets' at the bottom. Press the Contacts section, Contact, Direct Dial and Direct Message icons are your choice. Press and hold one of them, then slide to Home Screen. Contact list will appear; choose your contact and it will appear on Home Screen.
