Can't be heard

People I speak to have lots of trouble hearing me. on my optimus v.

I've pumped up my volume plus I use the"speaker" function.

Have other people experienced this issue?

Wouldn't increasing the volume and routing to speaker make it easier for you to hear others vs them hearing you?

In my experience, I have not had any issues with people on the other side having difficulties hearing me. Could it be a defective mic? Have you spilled any liquid on the mic?
