Can't Bluetooth photos from Bionic to Mac

My Bionic and MacBookPro (OS 10.6.3) are paired but I can't successfully transfer any photos from my gallery to the Mac. What's the deal? Is this a Verizon issue or a phone issue? And what's the fix? Emailing photos to myself is too cumbersome!

From my experience you have to send it from your phone through bluetooth once they are connected. Instead of just being able to surf your phones images through the computer.
