Can't bypass activation screen

I have a Moto G I believe it's a older one. I can bypass the activation screen. Can someone help???

Go to the carrier it was made for and ask for a sim card to activate your phone. Some carriers give them out for free. A sim card is required to activate your phone.

Drag down the notification shade, then try to get the nav bar to pop, click the Recents and close activation window.. There should be a YouTube video on how/when to do it
