Can't change navigation voice

I've changed the voice on my S5 under Settings > Language and input > Text-to-speech options, but despite that, the navigation voice remains unchanged. It doesn't matter if I use the Samsung engine or the Google engine, I still get the original nav voice.

Does anyone know if this can actually be changed?

I had to change the voice also and had no trouble doing so. (Sprint) Looks like you followed the right steps. You did do a battery pull and try a partition cache clearing right?

I did everything but the cache clearing. Good idea.

Booted into recovery mode and wiped the cache partition.
Cleared the cache of both the text-to-speech engine and maps.
Re-selected the language I wanted.

Still no dice.

Hmm, well you can always 'Google' the issue and see what others have done to fix your issue. Good luck.
