Can't choose message tone for specific contacts

I have updated my OnePlus 7t to Android 12 and since then I can't select message tone for specific contacts.

Welcome to Android Central! You can't set custom tones for specific contacts. You can, however, set custom tones for specific message threads. In the Google Messages app, open a message thread, tap the Menu button, then Notifications, then Sound, and select the notification tone there. (If you're using some other messaging app, the steps might be a little different.)
